The Korean made hybrid gets an impressive 35 MPG in the city and 40 MPG on the highway. That's very good for what is essential a spacious and roomy family sedan. Perhaps more importantly the new 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid has a six speed automatic transmission. That's unique for the segment. Almost every other hybrid car built comes with a fuel saving CVT transmission. Does the 6-speed make for a more interesting car to drive? You bet.
