There's a brand new supercar in @TheSatinCrew's collection that's grabbing my interest! I'm with Alex for a collection tour and full garage update, then we're getting the car of choice fired up and head out for a test drive. With the derestricted German Autobahn ready, let's see what it's like!

I stopped by Alex's garage on my recent tour in the Ferrari Purosangue Shmeemobile but the weather outside was atrocious and we thought better of taking something out. This time around, it's on our side, and that means we're good to go! Before that though, there's a lot of great cars to check out including a pair of Dallaras, an AMG collection, some Astons including a GT8 and DBS 770 Ultimate, and two crazy tuning projects; one Audi TT-RS and one Mustang GT 5.0.

However, it's the latest arrival I'm most interested in, the brand new Audi R8 GT. Limited to only 333 cars to match the previous GT model, the latest gen follows a similar formula while being the very final send off and last Audi R8 model ever as it now closes up a production run lasting nearly two decades. With only 3 colour choices available, it sticks out as a bit different in the Satin Crew garage, but that's not going to stop the fun today.

As soon as we leave the garage, we find an open stretch of Autobahn and an opportunity to stretch the legs up to over 300km/h with ease - an interesting comparison against the sister car, Lamborghini Huracan STO, that both Alex and I used to own.

With one of the first Shmeemobiles, and earliest cars on the channel having been my Audi R8 V10 Spyder of the time, a 2010 model, I've been thinking like with my Clio V6 and BMW 1M projects, to see if an R8 could return to the garage. Maybe, this is what gets the classifieds being searched and seeing what's out there!?
