It's full steam ahead on the project to build my dream garage; The Shmuseum! Over the next few months, this space is going to completely transform to house offices in the Grandstand, a workshop, and even a racetrack... but no time to hold back now, let's get this built!

The ideas were flowing when I originally found this barn, a former milking parlour, on a farm outside of London, however there was a lot of work required to make it possible to bring in my cars, the Shmeemobiles. Since then, it has been a case of planning, planning and more planning to decide where it would be going next, what we can best do with the garage, and how to make it straight out of my dreams.

Over the years, while filming my Shmee150 videos, I've been lucky to visit some of the world's greatest car collections and naturally they have given me some unbelievable inspirations as to what I could do with my garage. With my cars very much themed around track driving, and with pretty much all of them having done laps at the Nurburgring, there's an immediate direction to bring that into the presentation.

We started with the BendPak Autostacker car lifts. I have a run of 7x A6W lifts that look incredible with the neat mechanism and space they offer. We've also installed the mezzanine with More Storage as the basis for what is now becoming the Grandstand that will overlook the Racetrack.

I'm creating this series because over the coming months, we will see progress like never before, resulting in something that I've been dreaming about for years. Martin and the team from Novus Workspace Solutions are cracking on at an immense pace and it's a huge thanks to them for everything going into this. There are some amazing partners who are helping with all of this too, including Holmes Hill Shepherd's Huts who sourced the timber we're using for the build.
