I can't believe this day from my dreams! Join me for my first drive with the new Lamborghini Countach LPI800-4; the latest few-off series hypercar. I'm at the Lamborghini factory for a full experience of what the car is all about, heading up into the Italian mountains. Let's go!

Limited to only 112 customer cars, linking to the LP112 codename of the original Countach, this particular example is car 0, that Lamborghini have very kindly taken out from the Museum for this opportunity to share with you what it's all about. Following on the heels of the Reventon, Veneno, Centenario and Sian, it's the latest road going model from the series that also includes the track-only Sesto Elemento.

Powered by a 6.5l NA V12 with Lamborghini's Supercapacitor system that was introduced with the Sian and Sian Roadster, the Countach offers up 814hp and a top speed in excess of 355km/h (221mph). However, this is a car that tells an emotional story, 50 years after the first concept Countach was launched back in 1972; a model that lasted 16 years in production and set a very high bar for iconic supercars.

Visually, the new Countach features design elements from the likes of the P400/P500, Periscopio, 5000 Quattrovalvole, and 25th Anniversary editions of the original, while being based on the platform of the Aventador, which itself is soon to be superceded by a long-awaited new model. In many ways it's the last of an era, the last special vehicle on this platform, and one that brings a glorious heritage no with it.

This particular car is finished in Bianco Siderale over a red heritage interior; inspired by the spec of the very Countach owned by Ferruccio Lamborghini himself at the time. After taking a full walkaround to go through the specification and understand the details of the car, it's time to head into the hills to find some stunning scenery with the hills blanketed in a layer of snow. This is absolutely a day from my dreams; the car, location, experience, thank you to Lamborghini!
