My friend TGE has bought one of the greatest cars ever, a Porsche Carrera GT! I joined him for collection day at the Goodwood Motor Circuit for his first first time even sitting in one of the cars that he's dreamed about for 15 years, that is now his. For a day of true drivers cars, my Aston Martin Vantage GT8 called out for the journey down. Congratulations Tom!

I figured with the Carrera GT combing a naturally aspirated engine with a manual gearbox, it would make sense to match up with my GT8, especially having not driven it for a while. Hence kicking off from the storage, it's some great twisty countryside roads to head on down towards Goodwood and the famous venue that is the Motor Circuit.

It's there that TGE took delivery and the official handover of his new car, the wonderful Carrera GT in Jet Black. The Porsche is finished with the brown interior and GT Silver wheels, plus a rather nice exhaust note thanks to an aftermarket system. I'm not sure he even actually believed that this car is now his!

Having had the collection day of my Ford GT on the same piece of tarmac over a year ago, I know quite how special a moment like this is, and a huge congratulations goes to Tom - hard work pays off!
