My 500hp Mountune Focus RS - Nurburgring Ice Cream Run!

The first outing for my Mountune Focus RS at the Nurburgring had to include a pit stop half-way around to get an ice cream! Kicking off we jump in with Misha to take it out for a few laps on the Green Hell following the recent engine upgrades at Mountune to almost 500hp. With an exit half way around in Adenau, it made for a bit of fun to break up the lap.
The car is well on the way to being a full-on project now; having started as a 1-of-300 Red Edition Ford Focus RS with 350hp; and now the full rebuild of the engine and new turbo giving it some serious oomph. The first stages had been mostly cosmetic with the interior re-trim from Prototrim and small components like the SS Tuning steering wheel. It was then onto the exterior with the Ventus Veloce carbon aero kit and BBS CI-R wheels with Michelin Sport Cup 2 tyres, plus a Varex Xforce exhaust system. Now though it has spent some time at Mountune to transform the engine from the ground up, including new pistons, conrods, intake, manifold, plus the downpipe with sports cat and of course a tune to manage it all.
Having driven some miles now on the car since the work was completed it's time to start pushing it harder, and the perfect place to do so is around the Green Hell, the Nurburgring Nordschleife. Joined by Misha (YouTube: @mgcharoudin) as we have done on many previous outings, it's time to get a feel for the car while we take on the lap.
However, to make things a little different, given the absolutely lovely weather on the day we take a stop at Breidscheid in Adenau, the 2nd entrance to the Ring to buy ice creams before returning to the car and continuing our lap!
This is just the start for the Red RS, there will be many more laps and things to come with the car but so far it is running like a dream, and I'm very happy with the results of the project to date.
