The K-30 is equipped with detection and fire controls. Utilizing the detection radar, the K-30 can detect aircraft within a range of approximately 17km, by transmitting pulse waves and receiving reflected waves from all directions.
Using the EOTS(Electronic Optical Tracking System), it can automatically track targets within 7 kilometers to receive information on the location of targets, day and night. The K-30 then destroys targets within a valid range of 3 kilometers (anti-aircraft guns) and 6 kilometers (KP-SAM Shin-Gung).
