DJI is thrilled to have participated in the world's first drone deliveries on Mount Everest. Partnering with @8krawfilms drone service company Airlift, and Imagine Nepal mountain guide Mingma G Sherpa, we successfully conducted the first drone delivery tests on Everest.
DJI FlyCart 30 was used to transport oxygen bottles from Everest Base Camp to Camp 1, from 5,300 to 6,000 meters above sea level. On the return trip, FlyCart 30 brought back 15 kg of trash.
????️ Mount Everest logistics fall on the shoulders of local guides who risk their lives carrying supplies up, and trash down. These pioneering flights showcase how drones can enhance safety on the mountain and contribute to a cleaner environment. ????
