A mother and child were knocked down by a car at a zebra crossing in Dadukou District, Chongqing on December 4 causing the toddler to lash out at the vehicle.
After the pair were knocked over, the child quickly got up and checked to see if his mother was injured before kicking the front of the vehicle and shouting at the driver.
The driver then left his vehicle and began to help the injured woman into his car before she was taken to hospital.
Police have determined that the driver was fully responsible for the accident.
