There's a brand new Aston Martin awaiting at the factory! Join me for a run in my OG Shmeemobile, a 2009 Vantage, to visit AM's HQ in Gaydon to check out the brand new 2024 Vantage for the first time. This is a HUGE step up in power, interior, and looks, let's check it out!

I have two Vantage models in my collection; the original Shmeemobile, the 2009 4.7l V8 Vantage Roadster, and an end-of-the-line special Vantage GT8 from 2016. However, the generation that followed never really grabbed my attention in the same way; the slightly odd look from the front and the clutter of buttons inside with outdated infotainment from the off. It is now time for change though, hot on the heels of the introduction for the new DB12, making a big step on from DB11, comes an all new Vantage model.

We set off from @TheShmuseum for a run in the OG to Gaydon, the home of Aston Martin's HQ, and an atrium filled with the current line-up including a DB12, DBX707, Valkyrie Spider and Valour, along with the new covered beast awaiting reveal.

Upon pulling off the covers, we are greeted by something special, a new look Vantage with much larger front grille both for airflow and more aggressive looks. Inspired by the design of the One-77, the shape is a marked improvement, along with new eyes featuring matrix LED headlights. Under the hood the 4.0l TT V8 now raises the game to a whopping 665PS and 800Nm - big steps up from the predecessor.

On the inside is where the biggest changes are found, thanks to incorporating the infotainment from DB12, as opposed to the seriously outdated systems found in the previous model. Thankfully retaining physical switchgear for many controls, and combining digital displays to offer additional functionality, but a big improvement over what came before.
