I'm in Spain for a dream drive in the unicorn Lamborghini Aventador J! Join me to be reunited with the Lamborghiniest of Lamborghinis, and an exclusive opportunity to get behind the wheel for the Concurso de Elegancia Costa Del Sol. The smile won't leave my face any time soon!

I was at the Geneva Motorshow back in 2012 when Lamborghini presented the Aventador J, an absolute shock that they pulled it off and made something like this happen. Since then I've since it on two occasions; at an event in Germany in 2020, and 3 weeks ago at Supercar Owners Circle in Marbella. It was at that time that I spoke with both the owner and the team from Magna Supercars, and the idea came up to bring the J to the Concurso de Elegancia in a hypercar parade - and I wasn't going to say no!

Based on the Aventador LP700-4, and launched just 12 months after the initial introduction, the J borrows the 6.5l NA V12 that makes 700hp with the ISR automated manual gearbox, permanent all wheel drive, but with no roof to speak of. Saving the weight of the roof and windscreen, lacking nav or a sound system, it's about the experience, and what an experience it is.

Very conscious of the respect required for a vehicle of this value, rarity and significance, it's a fun drive following the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ and being followed by a Mercedes SLR McLaren Stirling Moss. There is no doubt that driving the Aventador J is a major pinch money, something I could never have imagined when I filmed it the first time over a decade ago.
