Last week, I took delivery of the long-awaited Ferrari 296 GTS but have been mentioning that there might be something else imminent as well, and it's finally the time to show you what that is. With the electric Abarth 500e soon to depart, and the Skoda Octavia VRS having served some fabulous miles as a practical team car in the garage, what could follow on next?

With a passion for Ford, and coincidentally my new Mustang Dark Horse waiting over in the US to be collected soon as well, the answer is a new Mustang Mach-E GT! The Mach-E launched a couple of years ago in regular form, but the new GT has now dropped as a spicier variant boasting dual motors, 480hp/860Nm, and in this case bright Cyber Orange paintwork.

I was impressed by the Mach-E when I drove it the first time, and equally been looking forward to the arrival of the GT, and for our first outing we're heading in very cliche-Shmee150 fashion to IKEA to pick up some brand new cabinets for the lounge that can house some of the memorabilia that I've been intending to unbox for years and years. Within these shelves are plenty of personal memories, exciting moments from the Shmee150 journey and more little trinkets.

It's a huge thanks to Ford GB for the extended loan period running this Mach-E GT and the opportunity to showcase the car to you on the channel going forward. Up next, we're getting straight to the test with a journey across the country for some videos and meetings - let's see how it handles it.
