The two cars in question here at Autowelt Schweiz are in fact matching chassis numbers; the same number out of the 250 997 cars and 1,250 992 cars. In both cases there are numerous design links to the legendary 911s of old, mixed into some of the latest tech, especially with the 992 Sport Classic.

We're talking a car that's effectively a manual Turbo; featuring the 3.7l Turbo flat-6 making 550hp and 600Nm (down from the 650hp and 800Nm found in the Turbo S), but crucially also with a 7 speed manual gearbox. Painted in Sport Grey Metallic, there are plenty of golden accents and details on the outside, with the interior sporting both houndstooth inserts and specific green details to the dashboard dials and displays.

After driving the new 992 Sport Classic, it's a quick hop into the 997 Sport Classic, which itself was more a design change as the car was based on the regular Carrera S of the time. However, it's not every day to experience these one after the other!
