It's the big day, and cars are selling for huge prices! Welcome to Barrett-Jackson, with the Nardo Grey F40, Carrera GT, multiple Ford GTs, Ken Miles' Shelby and many more including the new 7th gen Mustang VIN 001 for charity. Plus, I'm onboard John Mayer's former Ford GT, let's go!

After a week of cars being sold with No Reserve at Barrett-Jackson, it's time for Super Saturday and some of the supercars to go under the hammer. One of the standout cars of the show is the Ferrari F40 in Nardo Grey, but joined by many others including a Lexus LFA, Rod Stewart's former Ferrari 550 Barchetta, multiple 2nd gen Ford GTs, and also John Mayer's former 1st gen Ford GT.

The latter is here with Silver Arrow Cars, who kindly invite me to hop into the passenger seat to enter the auction hall and ride up onto the block as it is then sold for $540,000 hammer price ($594,000 including fees). The excitement in the hall is intoxicating, with 4 cars going into 7 figures on the day, and plenty of others raising huge sums including the Hummer EV SUV VIN 001 reaching $500,000.

When the red Carrera GT cross the block it goes for $1,450,000 ($1,595,000) and then the F40 really raises the roof as the hammer comes down at $2,500,000 ($2,750,000) to set the highest valued car of the near-2,000 that are part of the auction's week-long event. Not only did the 2024 Ford Mustang GT Fastback reach a hammer of $490,000, but it also raised further donations of $75,000 in the process for a total of $565,000 in Scottsdale, with the funds going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
