This is the new Cadillac Escalade V, a 682hp 6.2l supercharged V8 SUV... what's not to love! Join me for a full walkaround and first drive in one of the silliest SUVs ever known thanks to Yonge Steeles in Toronto, Canada. What do you think, all the sense or absolutely no sense?

The new Escalade V takes the motor we've seen in the CT5V Blackwing, and previously in the C7 Corvette Z06, and takes the power yet further to 682hp and 653lb-ft. Despite the 6,290lbs (2,850kg) weight, that's still enough to get it to 60mph in only 4.3 seconds with an absolutely ludicrous soundtrack in the process.

Inside it's loaded with tech, from an augmented reality navigation display to a 36 speaker system including tweeters in the headrests and roof. Available in both a shorter length or extended wheelbase, it offers ample space inside in either configuration, with individual chairs in the back and the bench for the rear seat.

This particular car belongs to the Yonge Steeles private collection in Toronto, and after we've taken a walkaround to check it out, it's time to go see what the Escalade V is all about with my first drive!
