The BMW M4 CSL does not disappoint! Matching the GT2 RS MR up the Goodwood Festival of Speed hillclimb, we're onboard with Jorg Weidinger, BMW Development Driver and Nurburgring lap record setter, to find out what it's all about.

The new M4 CSL launched only recently, and makes a dynamic debut at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed, showing exactly what it can achieve. Taking the latest generation M4 platform, and the historic CSL ethos, we're looking at a car that's 100kg lighter, 40hp more powerful, and set up to really offer the ultimate drive. With a lap time set at the Nordschleife by Jorg himself of 7:20, it means business and the 1,000 lucky customers are set for a great time.

The weight savings come from carbon fibre body panels, lightweight bucket seats, removal of the rear seats, deletion of some sound deadening, new lights and grilles, amongst plenty of other changes. Only available with an auto gearbox, and in just 4 different colours, it's certainly one of the in-cars at the moment but with a hillclimb run in front of us, let's have an experience of exactly what that means.
