Each fall, hundreds of hot air balloons take to the sky for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the world's largest event of its kind. It’s a visual feast as colorful balloons float above the city while dawn breaks over the Sandia Mountains. With so many objects in the air, the teams that run the festival need to make sure the sky is safe. This includes identifying drones that may be flying nearby.
