MY FORD GT IS HERE! It feels like a dream as the American supercar touches down for a collection day I will never forget. How better to go about the handover than a private day at the legendary Goodwood Motor Circuit, joined by some iconic cars!

It's been a long wait from the application over 2.5 years ago through to the handover day, but it has most certainly arrived in a way that will always be remembered! As the car rolls out from the delivery truck, it touches down on the start straight of the famous Goodwood Motor Circuit in the company of a 1967 GT40 and a 2005 GT to complete the family, alongside the very Alan Mann Racing Escort mk1 that 50 years ago won the BTCC and prompted my colour scheme, and of course also joined by my Focus RS Heritage and Red Editions.

My GT is finished in Liquid Red with extended palette Alan Mann Racing Gold stripes, paint matched to the original racing cars, topped off with the satin carbon fibre and graphite wheels. On the inside it's bare and focused with black Alcantara and only the required controls. Climbing in for the very first time, my immediate driving is to head on around the circuit - a moment I shall never forget and the most perfect way for the car to touch down on the ground.

The story that connects to this car is beyond words, and no doubt this is just the very start of some very big adventures that are going to be had with it. There may be faster cars, there may be newer cars, but nothing will carry the immense power of the story that the Ford GT wears on its shoulders - and from there it shall build ever stronger.
