My AMG GT R with its full RENNtech twin turbo upgrade to 760hp meets the Nurburgring Nordschleife! After the recent tuning changes, it's time to put the car through it's paces for a lap of the full circuit including both the Grand Prix track and Nordschleife. With the onboard sections filmed in VR180, you too can join the experience with a VR headset.

Having previously been running the first stage of upgrades to the AMG GT R from RENNtech, including the downpipe, ECU tune and blow off valve, I recently took it back to take it to stage 2 with new turbos and the associated tune for a total of 763PS and 808nm of torque. On the day of collection I took it for a lap albeit in dubious weather conditions so on one of the last open days of the year it made sense to come back to really push it in the dry!

To add to the experience, the onboard segments for the video, starting from 2:08 are filmed in VR180 allowing you to see more of the action from the passenger seat as we blast our way around. If you are viewing on a PC/TV then it ought to play back in a normal 2D view, but on a mobile device you may find black borders around the intro. Please do not be alarmed, the VR segment starts shortly thereafter!
