The Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition is a stunning car, with some exceptional details throughout. It also would have made for a great Shmeemobile but it wasn't to be! Let's fully explore the car and take it for a drive to discover what it's like and explain all.

The Porsche 911 Targa Heritage comes as a limited run of just 992 cars, representing the codename of this 911 generation, and with a vast array of special details it's a car that really appeals to me. Based on the Targa 4S version of the 992, it wears the striking roof mechanism with large glass rear canopy, along with the 3.0l twin turbo flat-6 rear engine making 450hp and 530Nm. However, this particular car is all about the details, and represents the first of 4 Heritage Design Edition models that are to be introduced.

At H Greg Lux in Pompano, Florida, there's not one, but a line-up of 3 of the cars including two in the special Cherry Red Metallic of which one is manual and the other PDK, plus a third car in Chalk that's also PDK. Considering there's a total global run of 992 units this is quite special to see, and gives great opportunities to discover the various options and specs available.

When I first saw a Targa Heritage in Germany last year, I was amazed by quite how good it looks and actually reached out to see if there was any chance to secure one. Sadly, but not unexpectedly it was too late for such a thing as they were all sold but otherwise I would definitely have been considering the purchase to add it to the Shmeemobiles.
