I'm very excited to reveal that I've ordered a new Lotus Emira to join the Shmeemobiles! Not only that, but I'm with Jenson Button for a first experience onboard with a run up the Goodwood Festival of Speed hillclimb!

Launched at the 2021 event, the Lotus Emira brings an amazing package that has been drawing quite the crowd, so what an opportunity to jump onboard for a passenger run up the hill, even more so with friend of the brand, Jenson Button at the wheel. The car in question is the first off the production line; a manual V6 of the First Edition.

Powered by a 400hp 3.5l Supercharged V6, it sure does sound the part, and offers quite the ride. It can also be had with the 360hp 2.0l Turbo 4-cyl from the new partnership with AMG, offering a variety of different configurations for customers, however it's the manual V6 that will be coming to my garage.

It will come as no surprise that I've had the car on my radar for quite some time, and was very excited when I first saw it, and confirmed that it was the right decision. Now though, it's time to share this with you and get this adventure started! There's no question that Lotus have really knocked the ball out of the park with this one, a car boasting exceptional looks while bringing more comfort features than previously seen in Lotus models, at a fantastic price point - starting at £60,000.
