Let's take a first look and walkaround of the brand new BMW M8 Competition! We can explore the car and all the new features in detail as well as announcing that I'm going to be getting one as a future Shmeemobile! Join me at the Welt for a first look at the new flagship BMW.

Launching simultaneously at the #NextGen event, we have the Coupe and Convertible of the M8 Competition and regular M8. Powered by the familiar 4.4l twin turbo V8 making 625hp and 750nm, thanks to the M xDrive 4WD system it will do 0-100km/h (62mph) in just 3.2 seconds on the way to a top sped of 305km/h (190mph). The exterior is noticeably more sporty and aggressive with larger cooling openings and carbon fibre aero parts to be found throughout. On the inside you'll find the new M-Mode and Setup configurations including the integrated brake assist and other customisable settings like the 2WD mode.

Alongside the M8 is also the introduction of the M850i Gran Coupe; the 4 door variant, maintaining the swooping lines and look but with additional practicality -so all we need now is the M8 GC to arrive!

In any case, I'm very excited to announce that an M8 Competition is going to be arriving in my garage, although I'll give you all the details and news in future when things are set in stone. After an amazing time with the BMW M5 that I had as a long-term loan car from BMW M, this was the only way to go to follow on from it!
