Join me back at Gtechniq to see the magic results of ceramic coating on my Ford Focus RS Heritage Edition! Having been left for a full detailing, preparation and application of Crystal Serum Ultra, the before and after comparison is really quite fascinating...

Ceramic coating can be professionally applied directly to paintwork, or even over a car with Paint Protection Film -such as my Ford GT or McLaren Senna that are being worked on by Topaz - and the results are really quite intriguing. The main benefits are an increase in the ease with which you can clean the car due to how simply anything will run off it as you'll see in the beading comparison test, and as a result the reduction in swirl marks that traditionally come from cleaning. Although it won't fully protect from a stone chip as PPF would, it gives an incredible finish visually and in feel on the surfaces. As mentioned, ceramic coating can actually be applied over the top of PPF as well to maximise the protection for the car and Topaz are an authorised installer for Gtechniq's products.

In addition, the car has had a complete runover at the Gtechniq Works training centre, including interior surfaces prepped to prevent absorbing of liquids, the plastic parts rejuvenated, and also the wheels too. The end result is a car that will stay cleaner, look brighter, and last in great shape much longer.
