Learn in this video how you can use Amazon Alexa in your BMW. Make sure your BMW is connected to the BMW Connected app. If not connected yet, add your BMW via the “+” on the start screen in the BMW Connected App.
Then you can activate Alexa in the BMW Connected app. Press “Hub” and then “Amazon Alexa”. Press “Amazon Alexa car integration”. Connect your BMW Connected account with your Amazon account by pressing “Connect with Amazon”. Enter your Amazon credentials and press “Sign-in”.
Pair the mobile device with the vehicle via Bluetooth or USB. In BMWs with iDrive 6, go to “Communication”, “Manage mobile devices”, “Connect new device” and select “Apps”. Now you should see the system information to connect your mobile device. Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile device and select the vehicle with the corresponding number. See if the subsequent number is shown on your mobile device and confirm the connection on your BMW's display.
Please enter the BMW Connected menu, press “Option” on the controller and "Update BMW services". You should see in the Menu the Amazon Alexa logo. Activate Alexa by pressing the speech operation button on the steering wheel, and wait for the acoustic signal.
