Welcome to BMW Today. In this episode you will learn more about the newest BMW Software Upgrade which just launched. This is the biggest over the air software update of an European automobile manufacturer, reaching over one million cars.

Upgrade the complete software of your BMW with new features. The built-in sim card makes this possible without further Wi-Fi connection.  It only takes 20 minutes and you’re ready to go. The upgrade is available for all cars with Operating System 7. One of the most interesting new features is the Amazon Alexa car integration.  Alexa in the car is basically an extension of Alexa you already know from home.
Use voice control on Alexa to get the house ready while you’re on the road. You can for example ask her to increase the living room temperature, or to add elements onto your shopping list.

If you have the My BMW App you can easily transfer your profile settings to any BMW. You can enjoy personal settings like seat positioning, air conditioning and all your favorite destinations to always be accessible. Also you can ask your BMW Personal Assistant to play the sound of a bunch of BMW car models such as the BMW M4.

All these and many more features are helping to keep your BMW fresh and up to date.

Official data on fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and power consumption were determined in accordance with the mandatory measurement procedure and comply with Regulation (EU) 715/2007 valid at the time of type approval. In case of a range, figures in the NEDC take into account differences in the selected wheel and tire size; figures in the WLTP take into account any optional equipment. WLTP values are used for assessing taxes and other vehicle-related charges that are (also) based on CO2 emissions, as well as for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies, if applicable. Where applicable, the NEDC values listed were calculated based on the new WLTP measurement procedure and then converted back to the NEDC measurement procedure for comparability reasons. For more information on the WLTP and NEDC measurement procedures, see www.bmw.de/wltp.
